Who we are

Depth is operated by Bluefields Trading Limited, trading as Bluefields Digital (“Bluefields Digital”, “we”, “us”), a private limited company registered in Malta (registration number C 88148, Malta Business Registry), with its registered office at 170, Pater House, Level 1, (Suite A312) Triq Salvu Psaila, Birkirkara, BKR9077, Malta. We are the controller of the personal data processed through Depth.

For any privacy question or to exercise your rights, contact us at hello@bluefieldsdigital.com. We have not appointed a Data Protection Officer, as this is not mandatory for our organisation under Article 37 of the GDPR. Privacy queries are handled by our internal privacy team using the contact details above.

What this policy covers

This policy explains what personal data we collect through Depth, why we process it, the legal bases we rely on, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and the rights you have under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable national law.

The data we collect

Data you give us. When you create an account, set up a workspace or campaign, submit an article, or otherwise contact us, we collect the details you provide, which may include your name, business name, role, email, phone number, website URL, and the contents of your message.

Data we collect automatically. When you visit, we and our service providers may collect device and usage data (IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring page, and similar diagnostic data) through cookies and similar technologies. See our Cookie Policy.

We do not knowingly collect special-category data through Depth. Please do not send it to us.

Why we process your data, and our legal bases

• To provide Depth and respond to enquiries (accounts, workspaces, campaigns, articles, and general contact). Legal basis: performance of a contract, or steps taken at your request prior to a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries.
• To operate, secure, and improve Depth. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in a functioning, secure platform.
• To comply with legal obligations (for example, record-keeping and responding to lawful requests). Legal basis: compliance with a legal obligation.

Cookies and similar technologies

We use necessary cookies to run Depth. We do not set analytics cookies. Full detail is in our Cookie Policy.

Who we share data with

• Service providers (processors) who host Depth, store files, provide sign-in, and deliver email, acting on our instructions under a data-processing agreement, including our hosting provider and our transactional email-delivery provider.
• Measurement and suggestion providers, when you ask Depth to measure a domain or suggest competitors. The website or domain you enter is sent to the provider that performs that task.
• Authorities or advisers where required by law or to protect our rights.

We do not sell your personal data.

International transfers

Where personal data is transferred outside the European Economic Area, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as European Commission adequacy decisions or Standard Contractual Clauses (and, where relevant to UK transfers, the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum). We require our processors to have equivalent safeguards in place before any such transfer takes place.

How long we keep it

We keep personal data for as long as needed to provide Depth and handle your request, and for a reasonable period afterwards for business and legal record-keeping, then delete or anonymise it. As a general rule, we retain enquiry data for up to 24 months from the date of our last contact with you, unless a longer period is required to comply with a legal, accounting, or reporting obligation.

Your rights

Subject to conditions in the GDPR, you have the right to access your data; to rectify it; to erase it; to restrict or object to processing; to data portability; and, where processing is based on consent, to withdraw consent at any time without affecting prior processing. Automated decision-making

We do not make decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects about you based solely on automated processing.

Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

Depth is intended for business users and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Links to other sites

Depth may link to third-party sites, including publishers in the network. We are not responsible for their privacy practices. Review their policies separately.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date shows the current version.
